The Tempe event will take place at the Tempe Arts Park on March 4, 2012

Walk or run a 5K or 1 mile course with your dog.
You can also opt to run or walk without a furry friend and go for either speed or dog-browsing fun on a fast and well-supported course.
Aid stations will be located approximately every mile on the 5k course
5K/ 5K9 Course
The 5K is open to all walkers and runners, with or without their canine friends. We designate 5K9 for all those who choose to walk or run with their best canine friends. The start of the 5K or 5K9 is on Rio Salado Pkwy and Hardy Dr, Tempe, AZ. The course takes a loop around Tempe Town Lake with the start and finish right near the expo at the Tempe Arts Center.
1- Mile Course
The 1 Mile course is also open to all walkers and runners, with or without their furry friends. The start of the 1 mile course is on Rio Salado Pkwy.

Children and dogs can be great friends, and we will share some great tips on ensuring everyone is safe and your dog is happy!
12:15-12:45pm Petco Traning Seminar: Loose Leash Walking
Do you enjoy taking Buster on a walk, or is he taking you for it?? Why dogs pull and the beginning stages on how to teach a dog to walk on a loose leash are covered in this FUN Seminar. We will work with you and your 4 legged family member on how to take the first steps to Loose Leash walking!

1:45-2:15pm Petco Training Seminar: Small Dogs Big Attitudes
Small dogs need to learn polite manners too! Many times, pet parents over look their small dog’s impolite behavior, however all dogs should have polite manners in a real world situation. We will discuss some tips on creating a happy dog and a proud parent!!
2:30-3:00pm Petco Training Seminar: Channeling your Dog’s Energy
Why do you think dogs jump on guests, steal food, dash through a door, or nip your hand when taking food/treats? Is he plain rude or is there more to it?? What exactly is self control and what does it mean for you and your dog? It’s our job to teach them polite manners instead of knocking down Aunt Edna at the door. Let’s discuss some tips to begin your path of teaching your dog polite manners and you can try these at home
