The WALK.RUN.WAG Team

WALK.RUN.WAG and the WAG.RUN.WAG.5K9 series was formed by a team of dog lovers who also happen to be world class coaches and Ironman triathlon champions.

Paula Newby-Fraser, Heather Fuhr, Paul Huddle and Roch Frey, along with their best canine friends, bring their love of dogs and fitness together in the lifestyle of WALK.RUN.WAG.

PAULA NEWBY-FRASER

Paula is the 8X Ironman World Champion. At the end of her professional competing career it has been a love of the sport, the racing and the people that led to a career in the organizational and operational ranks of triathlon. Along with coaching and camps, Paula has worked with the World Triathlon Corporation in many roles including as Director of the Ironman Foundation which is integral in the success of the Ironman branded events within their communities.

HEATHER FUHR

Heather is an Ironman World Champion.  She also has 14 other International Ironman wins in her resume. She currently works in the operational division of Ironman and has continued her athletic career with record setting performances over 50K and 50-mile ultra-running races.  Heather can be seen on any day running the trails of Encinitas Ranch with her training partner Morgan the Belgian Malinois.

PAUL HUDDLE

Paul Huddle began a coaching career in coaching 1994. He competed as a top level pro for 11 years, from 1983 to 1994, and combined that comprehensive experience with an umatched combination of technical knowledge and intuition to successfully guide both professionals and age groupers of all levels toward their goals. He joined the Ironman organization as an event director traveling the United States in the creation and direction of the sports  premier events.

ROCH FREY

Roch is former professional triathlete from Canada who’s coaching expertise has becoming world renown among the very best in the sport. Along with Paul Huddle he has been involved over the past 12 years with the development and production of the most well known Ironman events in the United States.
